Helping You Lose Weight With A Weight Loss Tip Each Day 2nd April 2011

The No Pain = All Gain Way That Will Help You Lose Weight.

Experts and personal trainers may tell you that the only way they can help you lose weight is by making you work hard and sweat like crazy ‘No Pain, No Gain’. Well I am going to tell you that this is a lie. The best way to lose weight and get rid of your fat and keep it off is to take it easy. Let me explain by first explaining how body fat works and how your body burns fat.

How Your Body Burns Fat That Will Help You Lose Weight More Effectively

Lipolysis is the name of the first step process that removes fat from the fat-storage cells. Once the fats are released into the blood they are transported with the help of oxygen. Fat moves slowly through the cells to the mitochondria (furnace) where it burns fat into energy for your muscles.

Your Body needs oxygen to transport the fat around the body to where it is needed most and the best way to do this is with moderate exercise like brisk walking. This is when your body has a good flow of oxygen and your moving so your muscles need the fuel. Your body then draws the fat out of your fat cells, moves it to where it is needed and then turns it into fuel or energy for your muscles.

If you’re huffing and puffing as in high intensity exercise your body is in a mad rush for energy and your body just can’t deliver fat fast enough. It traps the fat in its storage area the fat cells and instead delivers glucose to these muscles so that glucose is burst as fuel instead of fat. Your body is also in short supply of oxygen so even if fat was released from the fat cell storage area you wouldn’t have sufficient oxygen to move it around your body as the main oxygen needs to go to the brain otherwise you wouldn’t be able to control the rest of your body.

The best test is the walk and talk method

If you can exercise and talk you are in the best fat burning zone this is where you are puffing but can still hold a conversation. As you get fitter and fitter you will need to push yourself a little harder each time but always remember if you can talk while you’re exercising then you are burning fat and this is helping you lose weight most effectively.

This doesn’t mean you have to go for an hour walk every day it can be broken down into 10 minute smaller routines if that is better for you or you could do 30 minutes walk each and every day. Remember doing something you enjoy at the best time for you is the best way to lose weight and burn fat. It doesn’t need to be all in one go and if you break it up to suit your life you are more likely to stick with it.

You can ride a bike, jog lightly, light exercise classes, swim or walk in the pool. Whatever you do make sure that you are slightly puffing but could still hold a conversation.

Another way to burn fat and lose weight

This is about building your muscles by doing some light – medium weight lifting, this is for the more advanced and people who can do it (Please check with your doctor first) your muscles are what burn fat even when your asleep so this is a great way to burn extra fat and lose weight even when you’re not exercising. More on this later.

The biggest down fall and mistake people make

Most people think you have to work hard and the old motto ‘No Pain, No Gain’ comes to mind well this is just not the case. If you have oxygen in your blood you are better at moving and thus burning fat.

Now I am not saying that running, high intensity training, cardio or weight lifting is bad, don’t get me wrong as you move more and create a fitter healthier you, you might want to move into sports, running or weight training. This is a great way to get into shape and help you get fitter, build muscles, look great, tone up and also it will help you cope in everyday life as the fitter you are, the less stress you have in life as a result and the better equipped you are at handling life.

So just remember if you want to lose weight and get rid of fat you need to just move more. Start with something simple like a 10 minutes walk twice a day, once before breakfast and then again before dinner. Take your dog for a walk, go for a walk with your partner or even take the kids to the park, if you haven’t got kids take someone else’s (check with the parents first). Whatever you do, do it often to create great results that will help you lose weight.

Remember to help you lose weight do little things each day as you move towards your dream body weight and shape.
