Breakfast being the most important meal of the day it kick starts your metabolism that will help you lose weight and burn fat for the rest of the day. It’s called breakfast for a reason Break-the-Fast, it’s the longest time you go without eating and your body is hungry for good nutrients and something to keep it going till your mid morning snack.

The best foods to start your day off with is low GI his means foods that will keep you feeling fuller longer and slowly release the energy your body needs to make it through the morning till you eat again. The last thing you want to do is be hungry again 30 minutes later and then snack on some sugary treat or something. If you fill up at breakfast your less inclined to eat something you shouldn’t and when you plan your next meal or healthy shake you will be even more on track to lose weight and keep it off.

Quick Tip: when first waking drink an ice cold glass of water or two, this will boost your metabolism and kick-start your day. As with breakfast you haven’t had anything to drink in the longest period and so your body is craving water and food, give it water first wait 30 minutes then eat breakfast this will help you lose weight.

Yum Breakfast Recipe To Help You Lose Weight

What you will need:

1/2 cup rolled plain oats

1/2 cup skim milk or low-fat milk

1/2 cup water

1 teaspoon Cinnamon

pinch or Nutmeg

Small saucepan and spoon for mixing

Serve with: honey and extra skim milk or low-fat milk or fresh fruit

How to Create this easy breakfast:

Put in the oats, cinnamon and nutmeg and then add the skim milk and water. Mix while on the low to medium heat stirring all the time. It’s ready when the liquid is all gone and the mixture is starting to thicken well.

Serve with a green tea or black coffee to really get your metabolism going first thing in the morning.

While you’re waiting for it to cook you can even try things like 10 push ups – stir, 10 squats – stir, 10 crunches – stir and repeat till ready.

This is a great and quick morning breakfast and you can even have the ingredients prepared the night before and then cook them in the morning. Or even better yet can cook up a big pot and then refrigerate what you don’t need and each day take what you need and microwave on medium for about 2-3 minutes depending on microwave you are using.

Alternatives include just using all water or all milk or even add other spices or sweetener to the main ingredients.

Remember this is giving you Carbohydrate (oats), Protein (Skim Milk) and Fibre (oats) as well as cinnamon the fat burning spice.

So try it tomorrow for a great healthy breakfast with everything your body needs first thing in the morning to help you lose weight.
